Hi! I’m Miriam and I’m a health and marketing copywriting. I help businesses put together link building campaigns, create web copy, blog posts, etc.
My experience includes writing copy in the mental health, nutrition, and marketing industries. I’ve also written blog posts for link building campaigns and show notes for podcasts.
Why businesses hire me
To avoid having to worry about unreliable writers who know less about digital marketing than they do. Also, they don’t want to deal with drafting outlines, editing, keyword research, speaking with other bloggers for guest posts, etc.
There’s a lot of work around writing that needs to get done in order to make a piece of content shine and help your business sell more. I take care of all of that when needed.
Who am I?
I’m just a regular girl who happens to enjoy both digital marketing and writing. This combination is what most businesses need. I’m someone who doesn’t get bored after 4 hours of research and a few cups of coffee.
I started freelancing because I enjoy the freedom of choosing who to work with and being able to control the quality of my work. When you work for a company, you work to hit a number. When you’re by yourself, you work to build a business that has your face on it. I like stuff that has my face on it.
The problem with just hitting a number is quality. You can’t spit an article out in an hour that’s written for your audience if you haven’t researched what your audience wants to read in the first place.
When website owners don’t write for their readers, they get ignored. And how many of us spend too long trying to find the answer to a simple question? Most of the content out there isn’t that good.
On the other note, how many websites do we actually read regularly? How many online brands do we follow? How many influencers do we actually LIKE?
My story in a series of random facts
I grew up in the country area, and I used to hold baby goats in my arms and sing to them until they fell asleep.
I accidentally locked my grandpa in the stable, and he had to break the door to get out. That said, I was always told to close the door behind me. You can’t please these people.
I don’t like self-help books. I’ve never heard of anyone curing their depression after being told to brighten up.
It can take me hours to find a good movie because I avoid any with violence and death, which is basically half of all movies out there. My boyfriend doesn’t like movies with romance, which is the other half. You can imagine how that works out.
The first time I ranked on the first page of Google was for an article about a condition that I’ve suffered from for 11 years. Doctors had no idea what was wrong with me. I was officially diagnosed with PCOS last year (though I suspected it for years).
